About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own full-cycle recruiting for regional non-provider roles, including intake, posting, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offers, and closing
- Manage offers within established wage bands and approval processes
- Keep candidates engaged from first contact through their first day
- Coordinate onboarding, including paperwork, credentials, and systems access
- Track open requisitions and time to fill, and update Operations on hiring status and staffing risks
- Build relationships with local dental assisting programs, community colleges, technical schools, and high school career programs
- Represent the organization at career fairs, classroom visits, and campus events
- Create pipelines for externships and new graduates
- Visit offices regularly and maintain an approachable HR presence
- Serve as the first point of contact for regional employee questions and concerns
- Coach Office Managers and Regional Managers through performance conversations, corrective action, attendance issues, and team conflict
- Conduct fact-finding, document employee relations matters, and escalate to HR leadership
- Support separations, exit processes, and retention conversations
- Partner with Payroll and Benefits on employee changes, leave-related questions, and new hire setup
- Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS and support policy compliance across NC, SC, and VA
- Help roll out HR programs, policies, and communications to offices
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of HR generalist, recruiting, or HR business partner experience, ideally in a multi-site environment
- Demonstrated full-cycle recruiting experience, with high-volume hourly hiring a strong plus
- Working knowledge of employee relations practices and employment law fundamentals
- Comfortable with an ATS, HRIS, and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to travel regularly within your region
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
- SHRM-CP or PHR a plus
