About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop an integration framework to deploy an ecosystem of microservices providing high-value production print services
  • Integrate existing hosted services and on-premise services, including PDF hosting, transforms, viewers, preflight, imposition, workflow automation, and print production
  • Develop and deploy API-based serverless cloud-native microservices using AWS, Lambda, and SNS on an existing SaaS platform
  • Optimize security, performance, reliability, and cost
  • Work in a Scrum (Agile) and automated environment
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary intern team spanning software development, CI/CD, Quality Development Engineering, User Experience Design, and Product Management
  • Take services from initial development through production deployment for real customers
  • Explore best practices for early security vulnerability identification
  • Recommend solutions to project problems and issues
  • Determine and examine software alternatives
  • Contribute to project planning
  • Improve processes related to the assignment
  • Document work
  • Present the project overview and summary to the executive team at the end of the internship
  • Create new or modify existing microservices-based Ricoh TotalFlow Cloud applications in the AWS ecosystem

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Working towards a B.S., M.S., or PhD. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, or enrolled to continue education in an accredited graduate program
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Successfully complete all required screenings prior to hire
  • Knowledge of Java, Python, JavaScript (NodeJS), C++ or another similar programming language
  • Knowledge of data structures and algorithms
  • Preferred: REST APIs, AWS, Docker, Jenkins, Agile Scrum software development, AWS Lambda, microservice development, and cybersecurity
