About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead, mentor, and develop the Order Management, Managed Technology, and Logistics teams
- Represent Riedel Communications Americas in cross-functional projects and global initiatives
- Oversee the full order lifecycle from order entry and validation through delivery, invoicing, and documentation
- Manage domestic and international shipments, freight forwarding, and carrier coordination
- Maintain connection of the local team with Managed Technology HQ for training and professional leadership and support
- Oversee purchasing and vendor relationships
- Maintain smooth daily office operations and communication between Sales, Service, Finance, and HQ teams
- Identify bottlenecks, implement solutions, and drive operational efficiency
- Assist with purchase order management, cost analysis, invoice approvals, budget inputs, and expense reconciliation
- Develop, track, and report Operations KPIs
- Contribute to strategic planning, annual budgeting, and long-term capacity planning
- Ensure compliance with U.S. and international Customs, import/export, and documentation requirements
- Apply knowledge of tariff classifications, Incoterms, HS codes, and valuation requirements
- Monitor trade regulations and provide guidance to internal teams
- Coordinate with Riedel HQ in Germany on production schedules, inventory allocations, and export documentation
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience in operations, logistics, or order management
- 3+ years in a leadership role managing cross-functional operational teams
- Working knowledge of operational finance, budgeting processes, and basic financial controls
- Solid understanding of supply chain logistics, including international shipping and freight coordination
- Experience with ERP systems; Navision and SAP strongly preferred
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills; comfortable working with global teams across time zones
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and collaboration platforms
- Hands-on, pragmatic, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
