About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the worldwide pre-sales organization as a key member of the CRO leadership team
- Turn technical expertise into sales impact by improving win rates, accelerating deal progression, strengthening value-based selling, and applying pre-sales support to priority opportunities
- Engage senior customer stakeholders and lead a global team of Solution Architects, Enterprise Architects, and Security Solution Architects
- Work with regional sales leadership and account executives on strategic pursuits
- Shape deal strategies, improve qualification and technical validation, and create a consistent global pre-sales operating model
- Partner with the CRO, regional sales leaders, and account executives to advance strategic opportunities and accelerate time to close
- Participate in complex pursuits, including deal qualification, account strategy, executive customer meetings, solution positioning, competitive differentiation, and objection handling
- Participate in pipeline and forecast reviews and identify and mitigate technical or solution-related deal risks
- Connect technical capabilities to customer priorities, measurable business value, and compelling reasons to act
- Own the global pre-sales strategy and operating model aligned with company growth priorities and regional sales plans
- Direct pre-sales capacity toward opportunities with the greatest revenue potential and likelihood of success
- Establish performance expectations and metrics for pipeline support, stage progression, win rate, sales-cycle impact, productivity, and forecast contribution
- Maintain accurate pre-sales activity, opportunity support, and risk information in Salesforce
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing global pre-sales organization across Rimini Street service lines
- Standardize discovery, solution selling, demonstrations, technical validation, business-value articulation, and executive presentations across regions
- Partner with Sales Enablement on practical sales and technical enablement
- Represent Rimini Street in executive customer engagements and selected industry, analyst, and customer events
- Provide field and customer feedback to influence service-offering strategy, sales messaging, and future capability development
- Partner with Marketing, Product and Service leadership, Delivery, Legal, Finance, and Customer Success to strengthen positioning and remove barriers to sale
- Improve the end-to-end customer buying experience across solution design, commercial terms, delivery readiness, and customer outcomes
- Resolve execution gaps and ensure ownership of actions required to progress strategic opportunities
- Achieve success through improved global sales attainment, strategic opportunity conversion, win rates, deal progression, sales-cycle velocity, forecast confidence, capacity utilization, consistent execution, and team development
Requirements
What you’ll need- 15+ years of enterprise technology or services experience
- Significant leadership experience in global or multi-region pre-sales, solution consulting, sales engineering, or a comparable technical sales function
- Demonstrated success leading a pre-sales organization that directly contributed to quota attainment and profitable revenue growth
- Strong track record supporting complex enterprise deals from qualification through close, including mid-six-figure and seven-figure transactions
- Highly commercial mindset balancing technical depth, customer value, deal strategy, and sales urgency
- Experience creating and managing global coverage, capacity, prioritization, performance, and talent models for a distributed pre-sales organization
- Executive presence and credibility with CIOs, CTOs, CFOs, procurement leaders, and other senior customer stakeholders
- Experience selling enterprise software, technology services, managed services, support services, security services, or other complex recurring-revenue offerings
- Working knowledge of Oracle and/or SAP enterprise environments strongly preferred
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and globally distributed organization
- Field-oriented, sales-focused, accountable, decisive, and comfortable operating against clear revenue outcomes
- Strong coaching capability and ability to raise commercial and technical effectiveness
- Ability to simplify complex technical concepts into differentiated value propositions for business and executive audiences
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degree preferred
- Ability to travel up to 50% based on business needs
