About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Take full ownership of the HR operations foundation: employee lifecycle, payroll, compliance, systems, and reporting
  • Manage a team of three
  • Oversee the employee lifecycle, from contract creation through complete offboarding
  • Ensure the accuracy of HR data across HRIS, payroll, and talent management tools
  • Define and continuously improve onboarding and offboarding policies and processes
  • Ensure the accuracy and timely completion of the monthly payroll cycle with the Payroll and Finance teams
  • Oversee absences, statutory leave, and payroll events
  • Act as the primary point of contact for payroll-related matters
  • Monitor legal developments and anticipate their impact on HR processes
  • Oversee regulatory matters and relationships with HR service providers
  • Define the HR systems roadmap and lead improvement or migration projects
  • Automate low-value-added processes
  • Produce and present key HR reports to senior leadership
  • Advise managers and employees on complex HR matters
  • Collaborate with Finance, HRBPs, and senior leadership on cross-functional projects
  • Design the target organization for the People Operations team and develop international playbooks
  • Manage, develop, and organize the team’s work
  • Establish team performance indicators
  • Identify bottlenecks and propose organizational or tooling redesigns
  • Decide between in-house execution, automation, and outsourcing

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6 to 8 years of experience in HR Operations, People Operations, or Payroll
  • At least 1 to 2 years of people management experience, with direct reports
  • Proven end-to-end expertise in the employee lifecycle, including payroll administration
  • Strong knowledge of French employment law and payroll processes
  • Ideally, knowledge of the Telecommunications collective bargaining agreement and external payroll providers
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS and payroll tools such as Lucca, PayFit, Silae, Figures, or equivalent platforms
  • Comfortable working with HR data
  • Strong service orientation, attention to detail, and discretion
  • Ability to structure and prioritize work in a fast-changing environment
  • Experience structuring HR operations internationally is a plus
  • Interest in continuous improvement and team performance analysis
  • Fluent French and professional English
