About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own product strategy and roadmap for buyer-facing discovery and transaction surfaces
- Translate customer and business problems into product definitions, one-pagers, PRDs, design briefs, and release plans
- Partner with engineering and design to scope, sequence, and ship products, making tradeoff decisions
- Improve search relevance and the buyer discovery journey
- Deliver and evolve auction bidding and fixed-price purchase experiences
- Define and instrument success measures before launch and use results to guide future work
- Partner with upstream platform and listings teams and represent buyer needs in their roadmaps
- Support international rollout across multiple countries, languages, and regulatory contexts
- Evaluate customer research, industry trends, competitor landscapes, data, and metrics
- Identify high-impact work, prioritize it, and deliver measurable improvements
- Drive product initiatives, articulate complex problems, contribute to team strategy, and maintain team alignment
- Communicate progress, risks, insights, and outcomes to stakeholders and leadership
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years in product management, including consumer-facing web products where customers complete transactions
- Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of a product area, from problem definition through launch and iteration
- Strong written communication, including communicating complex tradeoffs to engineers and executives
- Comfort with technical systems, including reading API contracts, following data flows between services, and debating implementation tradeoffs
- Fluency with product analytics and defining and monitoring metrics
- Marketplace, auction or e-commerce experience, particularly where payment follows a commitment rather than immediate cart checkout (preferred)
- Search and relevance experience, including ranking, filtering, and query understanding (preferred)
- Experience shipping across multiple countries and languages (preferred)
- Familiarity with real-time systems such as live bidding or streaming updates (preferred)
- Hands-on experience with AI development tools such as Claude Code (preferred)
