About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Facilitate day-to-day delivery operations, including monitoring morning loadout/check-in, delivery activity, motor carrier needs, and customer service according to client quality and production standards
Report loadout/returns compliance and motor carrier compliance within agreed communication mechanisms
Maintain professional working relationships with location management, peers, motor carriers, client employees, and other department personnel
Utilize client-specific routing software
Communicate with other departments regarding updates, meetings, and other needs
Monitor routes using client-specific software
Check in reschedules returned by motor carriers
Process returns through the client portal at participating locations
Move inventory safely using material handling equipment as needed
Serve as a point of contact for client escalations
Schedule orders and notify customers of next-day delivery time windows
Monitor motor carrier performance and capability to maximize productivity and provide feedback to location management
Assist customer care with proactive monitoring and troubleshooting of delivery issues
Perform other duties as assigned based on client requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required
Strong people and operational management skills
Experience utilizing Microsoft Office products (Excel, Teams, etc.)
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Experience with dispatching software (Samsara, Dispatch Track) preferred
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent customer service skills, including conflict resolution
Ability to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment
Experience with routing, scheduling, and checking on delivery status
Ability to embrace new technology
Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and outside stakeholders in person, on the telephone, via email, and through computer-related messaging
May require extended work hours and travel
Appropriate documents confirming authorization to work in the United States must be provided upon request
