About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the first point of contact via phone, email, or callback for candidates, field offices, and clients
  • Handle inquiries about payroll, time-entry systems, online time reporting access, compliance requirements, benefits, 401(k), sick pay, employment verification, Canadian ROEs and availability, and tax issues
  • Identify, acknowledge, and analyze customer needs and problems
  • Resolve issues accurately and promptly using knowledge of field service center departments and branch functions
  • Process and document transactions or initiate forms for resolution by Payroll Operations
  • Educate branch offices about timelines, procedures, and the cost/benefit of alternatives
  • Educate candidates about self-service options through websites and Interactive Voice Response (IVR)
  • Develop and maintain positive customer relations
  • Use PeopleSoft HCM, Online Time Reporting and Approval, Service Cloud, Salesforce, Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Support inquiries related to both US and Canadian operations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years previous customer service experience required
  • 1+ years call center experience
  • Payroll experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Ability to learn other applications easily
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft or other HR applications preferred
  • Ability to exercise judgment, recall knowledge, hear, and speak and write clearly
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
  • Ability to enter data
  • Experience using call center telephone/email applications or other office equipment
  • Ability to demonstrate attendance
  • Ability to sequence and follow directions
  • Ability to collaborate with team members and others
  • Ability to meet or exceed all quality standards
  • Successful completion of a background check is required as a condition of employment
