About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in maintaining the integrity, availability, and security of Robert Half’s computing infrastructure
- Install, configure, patch, monitor, and fine-tune infrastructure across the organization
- Understand and monitor network integration and related functions for Robert Half computing systems
- Provide technical direction and strategy for technical system selection and deployment as a leader in the Systems Engineering standards group
- Work with project managers and business owners to determine business requirements for new system capabilities
- Take responsibility for service delivery aligned with business requirements
- Research systems engineering products and services and determine applicability to Robert Half’s computing environments
- Create recommendations for implementation
- Architect complex business systems using standard and custom hardware and software
- Author specifications, standards, procedures, and policies supporting enterprise infrastructure recommendations
- Lead process improvement efforts by providing constructive feedback, suggesting alternatives, and driving continuous improvement
- Deploy systems supporting enterprise infrastructure and project initiatives
- Maintain and monitor system infrastructure functionality
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in IT related field required
- 10+ years’ experience in IT in an enterprise environment required
- 7+ years’ experience working in a large IT organization (100+ people) with a branch-based operation
- 2+ years’ of project management experience in the creation and design of medium and large scale systems
- Advanced to expert level demonstrated and applied experience supporting enterprise systems for a large IT organization (100+ people)
- Advanced to expert level experience in creating and maintaining project plans and schedules and collaborating with technical teams and management
- Advanced to expert level understanding and personal experience implementing and applying technology control processes, such as change management, availability management, and production acceptance
- Certifications in Server, Client, Messaging, and Storage preferred
- Successful completion of a background check
