About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Represent Genentech’s product portfolio to financial decision-makers and healthcare ecosystem customers
- Connect with large provider institutions, senior leadership, and internal squads
- Lead and influence customers, develop and administer provider contracts, and identify partnership opportunities
- Work with the Director, Healthcare Market to ensure appropriate contract terms and compliance
- Identify and implement innovative opportunities supporting improved patient outcomes, lower costs, and quality of care
- Administer provider contracts, including informing financial decision-makers about contract eligibility and handling onboarding paperwork
- Drive provider contract pull-through and communication, including tier status, directional performance, discounts, and rebates
- Educate stakeholders about payer formulary status
- Independently engage, influence, and partner with senior financial decision-makers and other financial decision-makers within practices and health systems
- Cover all of Michigan in a field-based role, with significant driving and possible overnight travel
Requirements
What you’ll need- Business, analytics or finance degree, Bachelor’s degree level at minimum
- 8 or more years of cross-functional industry experience in commercial life sciences (pharma or biotechnology) or a related industry such as payers or health systems
- Advanced understanding of the contracting environment, including competitive landscape, economic/market factors, and legal/regulatory implications
- Experience with project management and administration of multiple complex contracts involving internal and external stakeholders
- Strong collaboration, stakeholder management, and communication skills
- Proven inspiring, influencing, and leadership abilities applicable to customer and internal audiences, including senior leadership
- Solid understanding of external laws, codes, and company policies in the healthcare industry
- Ability to drive significantly using a company-provided or personal vehicle
- Preferred: MBA or other related graduate-level degree
- Preferred: Strong account management skills and knowledge of IDNs in the area
- Preferred: Experience with multiple therapeutic areas
- Preferred: Proven analytical ability, operational excellence, and detail orientation
- Ability to work in an ambiguous environment undergoing transformation
- Overnight travel may be required
