Key responsibilities & impact

Create customized integrated solutions for healthcare laboratory customers through workflow analysis, process assessments, and collaborative design
Improve efficiency, quality, and operational performance across healthcare and laboratory environments
Influence local and regional decisions early in the sales process by translating customer needs into value demonstrations
Design differentiated digital solutions balancing customer value with business sustainability
Adopt and execute Standard Work across franchises and global teams
Support local and regional consulting engagements using standard analytical methods and cross-functional coordination
Apply Lean and Six Sigma approaches for pre- and post-sales consulting
Deliver workflow planning, process analysis, future-state design, and change management
Use Total Value of Ownership, ROI analysis, and Salesforce
Ensure project handoff to implementation teams with agreed deliverables
Provide pre-sales support for complex diagnostic integrated solutions and tangible value propositions
Partner with Sales and Regional Accounts to identify opportunities and integrate consulting data into account planning
Use Strategic Visioning and Co-Creation methodologies to define customers’ operational direction
Monitor developed sales opportunities through customers’ final decisions
Communicate the value of Digital Consulting through documents, case studies, marketing materials, and knowledge sharing
Represent Digital Consulting within the local industry and customer community
Collect voice-of-customer feedback and improve consulting solutions
Collaborate with Roche Consulting colleagues to refine tools, techniques, and best practices
Assist customer, support service, and IT teams with customer installation requirements
Create and submit expense reports and status reports and follow regulatory requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Medical Technology, Life Sciences AND 4 years of laboratory IT, general IT, product line experience OR 6 years of laboratory IT, general IT, product line experience
5+ years of experience in the diagnostics, healthcare, or manufacturing industry in Operations, Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, or equivalent
Experience with process mapping, statistical analysis, and reporting tools
Strong verbal and written communication skills to influence customer decision-makers by articulating data-driven ideas and influencing adoption of solutions
Able to travel +75% of the time
MLT/MLS/MB ASCP certification, HT/HTL ASCP certification or equivalent
Strong regulatory knowledge of CAP, CLIA, and TJC
Black Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma, a relevant advanced degree (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Operations Management), or validated equivalent enterprise continuous improvement experience
3+ years of commercial experience in a sales, service-oriented, or consulting environment
Proficiency using Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and Middleware; familiarity with the navify Portfolio
Strong organization and analytical skills to uncover key technical, operational, and strategic issues
Ability to use analytical methods and applications to support consulting engagement conclusions and recommendations
Ability to credibly recommend changes to laboratory practices to improve waste, cost, quality, and turnaround times
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively influence and collaborate with people at various organizational levels internally and within customer organizations
Familiarity with Roche and/or competitor products and industry trends
Residence on the western half of the USA or in the Northeast within 50 miles of a major airport
