About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop team member capabilities aligned with team needs and the function’s vision
- Encourage team members to define their career journeys and enable aligned development opportunities
- Remove roadblocks and set clear performance goals
- Develop the team’s skills, healthy dynamics, and sustainable pace
- Lead software and/or service delivery by setting focus, removing impediments, managing stakeholders, and creating efficiencies
- Co-create the Product/Service Roadmap from a technical perspective with the Product Manager
- Own the team’s end-to-end delivery of product development features
- Set delivery priorities aligned with product roadmaps and quality standards
- Manage stakeholder expectations and provide updates on progress and risks
- Define success metrics and analyze workforce capability trends
- Translate data into actionable insights and communicate delivery performance
- Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and quality
- Support business cases for new products or significant features
- Allocate engineering, design, and other resources to maximize impact
- Manage the team budget, including headcount, operational costs, and vendor contracts
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience in people leadership, product/service management, program management, or a similar role
- Proven track record of building high performing teams
- Bachelor or advanced degree
- Business or IT specification
- Understanding of software development and/or service delivery methodologies
- Understanding of solution, information and process architecture
- Strong expertise in multicloud architecture, cloud security standards, and governance across AWS, Azure, and GCP
- In-depth knowledge of distributed systems management, cloud-native infrastructure, and enterprise scalability
- Ability to create clarity about outcomes generated by teams
- Lean and agile mindset
- Servant and creative leadership (VACC) behavior
- Keen IT market focus and passion for major discipline trends
- Executive presence and strong business acumen
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and manage complexity
