About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee the affiliate’s financial results and ensure adherence to Roche Group Accounting, local accounting standards, tax, and customs
  • Identify key challenges and opportunities and assess their impact
  • Drive a fit-for-purpose business planning process and formulate a local finance strategy
  • Define organizational strategic direction with business leaders
  • Contribute to long-term portfolio planning and resourcing strategy
  • Manage financial risks, maintain P&L sustainability, and identify growth opportunities
  • Align affiliate priorities with regional and global ambitions
  • Partner with business leaders on value-enhancing decisions through performance analysis and market insights
  • Oversee affiliate procurement, balancing cost, service quality, compliance, and strategic partnerships
  • Lead or contribute to regional and global work packages
  • Embody VACC leadership principles and implement new ways of working
  • Champion an inclusive and diverse team culture
  • Report directly to the Area Heads/General Manager while participating in the regional Finance Community
  • Manage and oversee procurement, supply chain, and facility services functions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 7 years of finance experience
  • Preferably a professional Accounting qualification (CPA, CA, ACA, CIMA) or a University Degree/MBA
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional and networked teams
  • Proven track record of sound fiscal planning and management
  • Experience ensuring financial governance
  • Outstanding business acumen and strategic agility
  • Global strategic approach and ability to contribute to the global Finance Community
  • Effective leadership and coaching skills
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset
  • Ability to identify solutions and influence and enable decisions without formal authority
  • Interest in people development
  • Ability to effectively lead and enable change
  • Ability to build strong, sustainable relationships with internal and external partners
