About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide clinical and health economic information related to IBD disease states and Genentech medicines, including approved and pipeline products
  • Engage healthcare providers, population health decision makers, and patients within assigned regions
  • Co-create local medical strategy with regional partners and deliver for customers
  • Exchange scientific information and insights with thought leaders, clinical investigators, related staff, and healthcare decision makers
  • Build and leverage relationships with external scientific and medical customers and organizations
  • Develop customer engagement plans aligned with customer needs and global strategy
  • Participate in continuous learning and upskilling programs
  • Respond to on- and off-label questions in compliance with legal, regulatory, and Genentech guidelines
  • Collaborate with field partners and internal stakeholders to execute local medical strategies
  • Provide congress and conference support, competitive intelligence, and medical booth support
  • Capture and share customer insights through CRM systems and cross-functional collaboration
  • Assist with Phase I–IV clinical trials and health economic outcomes research
  • Support clinical trial site selection, start-up, recruitment, retention, and performance monitoring
  • Collaborate with CRO personnel as appropriate
  • Contribute clinical and value-based expertise to scientific communications, publications, conference data, educational materials, and internal training materials
  • Meet assigned goals, objectives, KPIs, timelines, quality standards, and budget requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Advanced Clinical/Science Degree (e.g., MD, PharmD, PhD, MSN, NP, PA etc.)
  • BSN with extensive field medical experience with a pharmaceutical company
  • Minimum of 5 years related work experience (clinical, managed care, or industry experience)
  • Proficiency in GCP (Good Clinical Practice) and ICH (International Conference on Harmonization of Technical Requirements for Registration of Pharmaceuticals for Human Use)
  • Relevant therapeutic area knowledge
  • Comprehensive understanding of product and safety profiles
  • Familiarity with managed care, health economics, reimbursement, and legal and regulatory landscape in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry
  • Applicants should reside within 30 miles of a major airport and within 50 miles of the established territory
  • Significant use of a company-provided car and eligibility to drive on Company business
  • Business travel by air or car required, up to 70% of time
