About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide clinical, scientific, and other relevant information related to rheumatology and nephrology disease states and appropriate utilization of Genentech Immunology-related approved medicines
Engage with healthcare providers, clinical investigators and study staff, therapeutic area experts, population health decision makers, and patient thought leaders within assigned regions
Support appropriate use of Genentech medicines and successful clinical development programs
Support clinical trial recruitment and retention activities
Provide competitive intelligence, Congress support, professional society engagement, and therapeutic area landscaping
Support multiple pipeline medicines and deliver broad clinical and scientific presentations
Share customer insights with key stakeholders across the organization
Ensure timely and accurate responses to information requests from therapeutic-area-specific customers
Exchange relevant information with thought leaders and healthcare decision makers
Assist with Phase I–IV sponsored and supported clinical trials, health economic outcomes research, and other medical collaborations
Support investigator/site identification, start-up, recruitment, and retention in assigned geographies
Collaborate with CRO personnel as appropriate
Build and leverage relationships with external scientific and medical customers
Discuss value/cost of care, integrated evidence planning, and strategic medical planning
Continuously learn within the therapeutic area and participate in upskilling programs
Adhere to guidelines and procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need

Advanced Clinical/Science Degree (e.g., MD, PharmD, PhD, MSN, NP, PA etc.)
Minimum of 5 years related work experience (clinical, managed care, academic or industry experience)
Relevant therapeutic area knowledge
Comprehensive understanding of product and safety profiles
Familiarity with managed care, health economics, reimbursement, and legal and regulatory landscape in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry
Applicants should reside within 30 miles of a major airport
Applicants should reside within 50 miles of the established territory
Significant use of a company-provided car and eligibility to drive a Company vehicle or drive any vehicle on Company business
Ability to travel by air or car for regular external business meetings and intermittent internal company meetings, up to 70% of time
