About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide management and administrative support to the practice
  • Work closely with the Lead Physician and other providers
  • Develop business strategies and formulate budgets
  • Oversee daily financial, operational, and personnel activities
  • Plan, coordinate, direct, and supervise practice operations
  • Manage physician practice site(s) using tools and reports to facilitate improvement and ensure compliance
  • Review monthly financial performance and develop plans to meet budget
  • Participate in annual budget development and maintain adherence to budget
  • Recruit, hire, coach, mentor, and terminate non-physician staff in conjunction with Human Resources
  • Guide and train staff in daily practice operations
  • Perform subordinate staff duties when necessary
  • Organize department activities and manage staffing and practice plans
  • Maintain standardized workflows and established best practices
  • Ensure facility maintenance, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction
  • Support the health system's vision and strategic plan and foster staff engagement
  • Ensure compliance with patient and employee safety, regulatory, accreditation, and system processes
  • Facilitate workflows supporting patient-centered care and quality assurance measures
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry, including demographics, coding charges, statistics, and month-end data
  • Supervise charge entry, edit corrections, patient registration, and over-the-counter transactions
  • Analyze problems and provide alternatives or resolutions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate's degree (AS) required
  • 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting required
  • 3 years of relevant work experience within a practice setting preferred
  • 2 years of administrative leadership experience, or combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Demonstrated communication and analytical skills
  • Professional billing experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Financial management experience
  • Personnel management experience
  • Team-building skills
  • Appropriate interpersonal skills
  • Ability to comply with regulatory, accreditation, safety, and healthcare system processes
  • Ability to perform sedentary, office-based work and use computer, writing, and telephone equipment
  • Some roles may require flexible hours, TB screening, or a valid driver's license
