About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead a small Account Linking engineering team
Advocate for Account Linking and foster relationships with engineering leaders, product managers, and operations
Drive collaboration and help teams use financial account data effectively
Guide architectural decisions and set technical direction
Identify investments to keep the platform scalable and maintainable
Define measures for account connection health and financial data completeness, accuracy, and freshness
Lead monitoring, incident response, and root-cause analysis improvements
Own delivery of team commitments and execute a quarterly roadmap
Balance new capabilities, reliability, and long-term system health
Clear blockers, communicate progress and risks, and adjust priorities with Product
Participate in RFCs, code reviews, and collaborative problem-solving
Evaluate technical tradeoffs and unblock implementation
Explore agentic software development and adopt practices improving delivery quality and pace
Coach engineers, provide feedback, conduct 1:1s and performance reviews
Create individualized growth plans and development opportunities

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of experience shipping production systems
Experience with Node/TypeScript, React, GraphQL, and Postgres (or similar relational database) ideally
Experience supporting external integrations
Experience driving operational excellence on platform teams
Experience supporting large data sets in production
Experience using observability and root-cause analysis to improve reliability and data quality
At least one year of experience leading an engineering team
Track record of leading senior ICs
Experience with FinTech or consumer apps is a plus, but not a requirement
Technical leadership, architectural decision-making, monitoring, incident response, and RFC/code review experience
