About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design Git-native workflows, including branching, merge, and pull request models, translating ChangeMan SCM concepts into Git idioms
Advance CI/CD from scripted pipelines toward platform engineering
Support trunk-based development, GitOps as the deployment interface, and reusable delivery patterns across teams
Design and build a control plane/abstraction layer connecting mainframe and open-systems delivery targets
Partner with the mainframe/ChangeMan team to keep mainframe and open-systems delivery synchronized
Drive the VSCode extension and Git integration roadmap
Connect mainframe software delivery with the Git and CI/CD ecosystem

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong TypeScript/Node.js skills
Hands-on experience building VSCode extensions
Deep Git experience with branching, merge models, and Git internals
Solid CI/CD engineering experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or equivalent
Containerization experience with Docker/Kubernetes
REST/API design experience, including integrating with backend systems not controlled end-to-end
Working cloud platform experience with AWS or Azure
Experience building GitOps-based deployment models
Experience with microservices delivery patterns and trunk-based development practice
Experience designing platform/control-plane abstractions for hybrid or multi-target delivery
