About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build, deploy, maintain, and improve customer websites using Cursor, GitHub, Netlify, and other modern development tools
- Write, review, debug, and maintain website code while using Cursor to accelerate development
- Independently identify and resolve coding issues
- Manage GitHub repositories, branches, commits, differences, merge conflicts, and pull requests
- Handle Netlify website deployments, configuration, domain management, troubleshooting, and hosting maintenance
- Implement website updates, new pages, design adjustments, integrations, and customer requests
- Troubleshoot website functionality issues, broken integrations, deployment errors, and performance problems
- Follow web security best practices
- Maintain clean, organized, well-structured, professional code
- Collaborate with company leadership to prioritize customer requests and meet deadlines
- Ensure websites are responsive, fast, accessible, and compatible across modern browsers and devices
- Manage technical website launches, including domain configuration, redirects, forms, and third-party integrations
- Review and validate artificial intelligence generated code before deployment
- Respond promptly to technical requests, communicate project status, and proactively identify potential issues
- Work directly with the co-founders under technical oversight from the Chief Technology Officer
- Take customer website requests from initial requirements through development, testing, and production deployment with minimal oversight
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong professional experience in website development, including the ability to write and troubleshoot code independently
- Solid proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web development practices
- Demonstrated ability to understand website architecture, code structure, application logic, and development best practices
- Experience using Cursor or similar artificial intelligence assisted development environments
- Strong proficiency with GitHub, including repository management, branching strategies, pull requests, merging, conflict resolution, and version control
- Hands-on experience with Netlify for website hosting, deployments, domain management, and troubleshooting
- Ability to independently review, debug, modify, and improve code generated through artificial intelligence tools
- Strong understanding of website security principles and best practices
- Experience integrating website forms, analytics platforms, tracking scripts, and third-party services
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently and implement reliable solutions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to writing clean, professional, maintainable code
- Excellent communication skills, fast response times, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote environment
