About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and develop scripts for automating test procedures
- Document test procedures
- Execute manual and automated test procedures to verify product functionality
- Assist with lab audit and improvement activities
- Resolve and document exceptions and questions
- Create test reports
- Help build and commission test firmware and hardware platforms
- Test new industrial automation products in a world-class lab to ensure quality customer outcomes
- Report to the Firmware and Software Test Manager
- Participate in intern activities and events for networking, professional development, and cultural immersion
Requirements
What you’ll need- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree at an accredited college or university
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future
- Pursuing bachelors or masters degree in electrical or computer engineering, or similar degree from an accredited college or university
- Must be enrolled for at least one more semester after the internship concludes; graduation date of December 2027 or later
- Local or attending school in the greater Milwaukee area, within 50 miles from the Headquarter or Mequon location
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale
- Basic programming in C++, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript
- Basic knowledge of circuit theory and operation, including microprocessors, digital logic devices, analog and/or DC-power conversion, and programmable devices such as CPLDs and FPGAs
- Experience with Power Electronics or motors
- Experience with design capture tools
- Ability to work with schematic drawings
- Familiarity with CAD, Creo Parametric, ERP, 3D Modeling, SAP, or Matlab
- Experience with industrial automation environments including PLC or drives programming
- Experience using Agile methodology
