About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coach Agile development teams on Agility and accountability for team effectiveness
- Use Agile frameworks and practices to achieve team goals, including Scrum, Kanban, Lean, XP, and SAFe as applicable
- Teach and coach Agile and/or Lean principles
- Create an environment for continued learning and continuous improvement
- Identify, mitigate, and eliminate dependencies with other teams and communicate dependency status
- Facilitate team events and remove impediments
- Collaborate with other Scrum Masters to promote best practices and lessons learned through communities of practice
- Guide teams toward objectives, goals, and continuous improvement
- Foster collaboration, communication, and team building
- Facilitate team and program events, including Daily Stand Up, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Retrospective, and Inspect and Adapt workshops
- Help teams follow Scrum/XP/Agile best practices and product development processes
- Improve quality, predictability, flow, and velocity
- Coordinate solution implementation and delivery with Scrum Masters and external teams
- Communicate progress to all levels of the organization
- Maintain team and program metrics
- Balance changes in direction or requirements while protecting committed team goals
- Collaborate with Product Owners to align team execution and performance with near- and long-term goals
- Report to the Technical Leader
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Years of Relevant Work Experience
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; Rockwell Automation will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening
- Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience
- 2+ years' experience in Software Development/Test, Applications Engineering work, Technical Support, or other related role
- Experience in Agile development environment
- In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies and techniques
- 2+ years' experience as a Scrum Master (with certification) and/or Agile Coach (with certification)
- Previous experience in a leadership role
- Knowledge of, or experience with Rockwell Automation products or other industrial control equipment
- Bonus: experience performing the Scrum Master role in an environment that produces hardware products
