About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for accounting operations, controlling, internal controls and India-based entities, including manufacturing plants
  • Ensure accurate monthly and quarterly financial reporting in line with US GAAP
  • Finalize local GAAP books and coordinate statutory audits
  • Partner with Global Finance Operations, local and global stakeholders, and business/operations teams
  • Build relationships with business representatives across local legal entities and processes
  • Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities for India entities
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of the general ledger, fixed assets, inventory, and intercompany accounts
  • Support reporting requirements with regional and global controllership teams
  • Drive continuous improvement in control design, documentation, testing support, and remediation
  • Lead quality reviews of account reconciliations and improve reconciliation processes and documentation
  • Ensure consistency with global accounting policies while addressing India-specific operational requirements
  • Collaborate with Integrated Supply Chain, Sourcing, Global Sales, FP&A, HR, Plants, and other cross-functional teams on internal controls
  • Contribute to finance transformation through process simplification, standardization, automation, and digitalization
  • Promote documentation, analytics, data-driven decision-making, and compliance
  • Serve as a key partner to regional, global, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Report to the Manager, Accounting & Controlling

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Chartered Accountant (CA)
  • 6+ years’ experience in Accounting, Controlling, Reporting, External (local and Global Statutory audits) and Internal audits
  • Strong experience in accounting, controllership, or financial operations within a global or shared-services environment
  • Solid experience in finalizing local books in line with local GAAP and getting them successfully audited
  • Strong experience in internal controls, financial close and reporting
  • Experience with ERP systems, especially SAP
  • Exposure to automation or digital finance initiatives is a strong advantage
  • Ability to work with Asia regional and corporate controllership and in a global environment
  • Ability to own and drive critical issues in pressure situations
