Senior Quality Engineer
Rockwell Automation. Maintain and improve the Quality Management System according to ISO 9001:2015 and Internal CUBIC Procedures .
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain and improve the Quality Management System according to ISO 9001:2015 and Internal CUBIC Procedures
- Perform internal audits and actively manage ISO and customer audits
- Educate, train, and engage operators for QMS improvement and drive a zero-defect culture
- Ensure product and process requirements are met
- Handle non-conformities and engage the CFT team in root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Introduce new products in both units, prepare PPAP documentation, and obtain PSW customer approval
- Conduct process and product audits and implement continuous process improvements
- Manage vendor qualification, process, and PPAP audits
- Monitor vendor performance and develop vendors to meet CUBIC requirements
- Manage new product development through localization with new and existing vendors
- Evaluate vendors, inspect samples, coordinate critical-part approval with Global R&D, review PPAP documentation, and sign off PSW
- Manage customer and certification audits
- Assist the Manager with daily operations and ensure production and delivery plans are met
- Report to the Quality Team Lead and follow an onsite working schedule in India Kancheepuram
Requirements
What you’ll need- B.E or Diploma in Mechanical / Automobile
- Ability to travel 20-30% of the time within India
- 8 or more years of experience, including at least 5 years of relevant experience in Sheet Metal Fabrication
- Experience in New Product Development and ISO Documentation
- ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor and Six Sigma Certification will be added advantage
