About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Promote teamwork, assistance, and serve as a resource to the multidisciplinary team for patient care
- Train, coach, consult with, and support assigned behavior specialists and therapists
- Oversee the development, coordination, and facilitation of social services for patients and families
- Collaborate with site operational and clinical leadership
- Provide direct patient care and social services as needed
- Provide oversight and resources for clinical staff
- Oversee timely planning and patient care from admission to discharge
- Ensure staff scheduling and coverage needs are met
- Establish and communicate goals consistent with duties, program requirements, and organizational mission
- Evaluate and report to the Director/Manager of Operations
- Participate in staff evaluations, orientation, supervision, recruitment, interviews, and professional growth
- Participate in department, multidisciplinary, committee, performance improvement, and team project meetings
- Provide group, individual, and/or family therapy
- Participate in interdisciplinary staffing and discuss patient progress
- Conduct medical record audits, including audits of 20% of charts based on daily census
- Resolve documentation deficiencies and provide quality-improvement recommendations
- Provide feedback, education, and observations to staff and leadership
- Participate in marketing, outreach visits, educational talks, and community events
- Ensure compliance with Rogers policies, procedures, department goals, external agency requirements, and regulations
- Support conflict resolution, investigations, and solutions-focused issue resolution
- Demonstrate punctuality, preparedness, communication, organization, professionalism, and timely task completion
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field, from an accredited school of Social Work, Professional Counseling, or Family Therapy, preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in health care and at least two (2) years in a psychiatric setting, preferred
- Full, independent licensure as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent in state practicing
- Working knowledge of therapeutic intervention and techniques for all age groups, as well as the dynamics of human growth and behavior
- Knowledge of cognitive behavioral therapies may be required per program description
- American Red Cross Professional Rescue certification required within thirty (30) days of date of hire; bi-annual re-certification required
- Formal training in the management of the aggressive patient (NCI) required within sixty (60) days of date of hire; annual re-certification required
- Attend all mandatory in-services and other relevant in-services
- Fulfill educational requirements and related obligations pertaining to the license of the program/unit license regulatory requirements
