About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a regional clinical resource across multiple Wisconsin locations
  • Lead interdisciplinary collaboration to develop, coordinate, and deliver therapeutic interventions
  • Provide coverage assignments ranging from a single day to several weeks
  • Maintain competency through cross-training across all Wisconsin service lines
  • Provide evidence-based CBT, DBT, family therapy, and SUD treatment modalities
  • Provide supervision, training, and guidance to less experienced therapists and interns
  • Support Behavior Specialist coverage as needed
  • Operate in acute care environments including inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient settings
  • Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and guide clinical interventions
  • Facilitate treatment team meetings
  • Provide counseling and support using evidence-based therapeutic techniques
  • Educate patients about mental health or substance use conditions, self-care, treatment options, and aftercare plans
  • Document patient progress, goals, and interventions within required timeframes
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, case managers, and other internal and external professionals
  • Follow ethical codes, maintain confidentiality, and report suspected abuse or neglect according to law and policy
  • Support staffing and scheduling changes based on program and patient care needs
  • Lead clinical initiatives, projects, and continuous improvement activities
  • Demonstrate compliance with Joint Commission, state, and other regulatory requirements
  • Provide for patient and facility safety
  • Support onboarding, precepting, supervision, interviews, training, and introductory evaluations for new staff
  • Participate in committees, task forces, work groups, self-directed learning, and continuing education
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Travel throughout Wisconsin, including overnight travel when necessary

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field, from an accredited school of Social Work, Professional Counseling, or Family Therapy
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in health care
  • Two (2) years of experience in a psychiatric setting preferred
  • Previous experience working within a Rogers Behavioral Health program preferred
  • Full, independent licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent in state practicing
  • Substance use credentialing, a SAC-IT, SAC, or CSAC preferred
  • Working knowledge of therapeutic intervention and techniques for all age groups, as well as the dynamics of human growth and behavior
  • Ability to travel up to 100% of scheduled work time
  • Must hold a valid driver's license and have a reliable mode of transportation
  • Compliance with Residential Care Center (RCC) and Community Based Residential Facility (CBRF) required for Residential Inpatient programs, preferred for all levels of care
  • American Heart Association CPR certification within thirty (30) days of hire; bi-annual re-certification required
  • Training in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) within sixty (60) days of hire/transfer; annual re-certification required
  • Attend all mandatory in-services and other in-services relevant to the position
  • Be responsible for educational requirements and related obligations pertaining to the program/unit license regulatory requirements
