About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Greet members primarily through Express Teller Machines and other remote channels
- Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, stop payments, card orders/replacements, statement/check copies, address changes, and general maintenance requests
- Assist members with other needs and resolve requests using problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Take ownership of situations within authority limits or refer them to appropriate credit union personnel
- Use resources and the department ticketing system for intra- and interdepartmental research and member work requests
- Maintain knowledge of credit union products and services
- Identify cross-sell and referral opportunities and make applicable suggestions
- Participate in credit union promotions
- Maintain technical knowledge needed to perform assigned duties
- Attend meetings and events in the evenings and on weekends when required
- Travel to credit union facilities or regions when required
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- One month to twelve months of similar or related experience
- High school education or GED
- Good listening, verbal, and written communication skills
- Professional telephone and on-screen skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Technical knowledge and good computer/keyboarding skills
- 10-key calculator skills
- Good attention to detail and quality
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to adjust or move objects up to 30 pounds in all directions
- Ability to remain stationary, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
- Ability to perform repetitive wrist, hand, and finger motions while using a computer
- Close and continuous visual acuity for data and figure preparation/analysis, transcription, computer terminal viewing, and extensive reading
- Ability to work Saturdays
- Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, extended hours, or unpredictable schedules
- Must complete a drug screening test within 48 hours of employment offer
- Bilingual capability required, as stated in the job title
