About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Greet and assist members and potential members by telephone, email, and other remote channels
  • Provide accurate, friendly, and professional service using the five Service Promises
  • Process transfers, loan payments, stop payments, card orders/replacements, statement/check copies, address changes, general maintenance, and other member requests
  • Complete requests involving online banking, bill pay, ATM/Visa/Debit, loans, technical and transaction research, and general maintenance
  • Work with members and internal resources to find answers and resolve issues
  • Take ownership of situations within authority limits or refer them to appropriate credit union staff
  • Maintain knowledge of credit union products, services, and processes
  • Identify cross-sell, referral, and member-trend opportunities
  • Participate in credit union promotions
  • Assist other departments and perform additional assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • One month to twelve months of similar or related experience
  • High school education or GED
  • Excellent communication, listening, and telephone skills
  • Professional demeanor
  • Extensive technical knowledge
  • Excellent computer and keyboarding skills
  • 10-key calculator skills
  • Minimum typing speed of 40–45 w.p.m.
  • Ability to multitask and make decisions with minimal information
  • Ability to work in multiple systems simultaneously
  • Knowledge of computer search engines and major consumer browsers
  • Ability to learn and maintain knowledge of multiple web-based systems and processes
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and oversight
  • Requires working Saturdays
  • Must attend meetings and events in the evenings and on weekends
  • Ability to adjust or move objects up to 30 pounds
  • Must remain stationary, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
  • Must pass a drug screening test within 48 hours of employment offer
