About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead advanced data analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
Deliver forecasting, scenario, and comparative analysis
Provide data-driven recommendations to management and business leaders
Prepare and transform data using KNIME, Microsoft Fabric, Python, and SQL
Serve as a trusted analytics advisor to business leaders and cross-functional partners
Lead complex requirements discussions and integrate data sources across domains
Define requirements and perform gap analysis for enterprise-level data sets
Partner with Data Engineers and Data Scientists on data aggregation, transformation, and modeling
Improve data quality, governance, and data lifecycle management
Champion self-service analytics and improve data accessibility, usability, and adoption
Train and support power users
Mentor BI Analysts at all levels
Translate business requirements into technical specifications
Recommend tools and solutions that improve service delivery and member engagement
Identify process improvements within the BI program
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Five years to eight years of similar or related experience
Experience evaluating business needs and user requirements in a related position
Three to five years of experience in a financial services environment preferred
Awareness of accounting principles and financial statements preferred
Master's degree, or bachelor's degree plus professional certification (e.g., CPA)
Extensive experience with SQL and relational database systems such as DB2, Oracle, and SQL Server
Experience with data warehouse environments
Knowledge of logical and physical data modeling concepts
Experience with R and/or Python for data analysis
Familiarity with ETL and BI tools
Familiarity with data visualization platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, and Sisense
Working knowledge of programming/scripting concepts and the software development life cycle
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders at all levels
Ability to work across business and technical teams
Ability to adjust to unpredictable schedules
Ability to move objects up to 30 pounds
Must complete a drug screening test within 48 hours of employment offer
