About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own execution of warehouse implementation projects, including fit-outs, retrofits, and new site layouts, from kickoff through commissioning, go-live, and operational handover
  • Drive project plans, schedules, budgets, resourcing, and critical-path milestones
  • Manage external contractors, equipment vendors, and on-site integrators
  • Coordinate with Solution Design, Automation, Procurement, Facilities, and Operations
  • Resolve technical and scheduling conflicts
  • Identify dependencies and risks, maintain RACI matrices, and resolve blockers
  • Lead commissioning, testing, operational sign-off, handover, maintenance ownership, and troubleshooting protocols
  • Provide project status, risk, and financial variance reporting to leadership and stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience leading large-scale CapEx delivery projects in warehouse automation, material handling, or industrial manufacturing
  • Engineering degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related technical field
  • Solid practical understanding of material handling systems, conveyors, racking, and goods-to-person (G2P / AS-RS) technologies
  • Track record of running complex critical paths, project budgets, and multi-vendor environments
  • Clear, confident presentation skills
  • Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and direct external vendors
  • Highly proactive approach to anticipating risks and managing operational details
  • Willingness and flexibility for regular international travel across the European site network
  • Project Management Certification (PMP, PRINCE2, IPMA Level C+, or equivalent) is nice to have
  • Background in e-commerce, retail fulfillment, or high-throughput logistics automation is nice to have
  • Familiarity with next-generation logistics robotics and emerging warehouse technologies is nice to have
