About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own the design and delivery of a 3 to 6 month continuous improvement roadmap for last mile operations
Own the last mile improvement roadmap and ensure initiatives are delivered on time
Lead group-wide initiatives end to end, including problem framing, business case development, piloting, impact measurement, evaluation, and scaling successful solutions across sites
Lead adoption of operational best practices in loading, routing, and delivery through coaching and influence
Partner with group-level development and performance management teams and local site teams to coordinate projects and current performance
Analyze real operational problems and data to identify root causes and convert fixes into standards
Document processes using VSM and process maps
Deliver improvements in delivery efficiency, cost per order, and on-time performance
Roll out scalable solutions across sites

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years of operational experience owning projects or programs in the last mile for retail
Strong leadership and coaching capability
Excellent communication and stakeholder management
Analytical thinking, including defining metrics, reading data, and separating cause from correlation
Project management experience
Willingness to travel 2 to 3 days per week across sites
Background in e-commerce, grocery, or same-day delivery preferred
Six Sigma and/or project management certification preferred
