About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own end-to-end design and UX strategy across web, iOS, and Android for homepage, search and browse, product pages, basket, slot selection, checkout, and order tracking
Own component architecture, design tokens, patterns, and documentation for the Maia design system
Define interaction patterns for Maia, Rohlik’s AI shopping assistant, including intervention, information presentation, and handoff to human support
Drive hypotheses, prototype rapidly, and evaluate A/B test results
Scale successful experiments and sunset underperforming features
Conduct qualitative interviews, usability tests, and field research directly with customers
Collaborate with the Product Owner, Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, and peer product designer
Provide design input to Commercial, Marketing, and Operations

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience designing consumer-facing digital products
Strong portfolio of shipped work across web and native mobile (iOS and Android)
Advanced Figma and design system expertise
Experience building, scaling, and architecting multi-platform design systems at token and component level
Ability to read and rigorously interpret A/B testing data
Practical experience integrating AI tools into design, prototyping, and design system workflows
User research expertise, including designing, running, and analyzing qualitative usability sessions directly with end users
Excellent communication skills in English (C1 level or above)
Nice to have: production-grade AI or assistant-driven interface experience
Nice to have: direct code contributions at component or token level
Nice to have: e-commerce, quick-commerce, online grocery, or last-mile delivery background
Nice to have: familiarity with how German customers shop
Nice to have: German or Czech fluency
