About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own end-to-end design and UX strategy across web, iOS, and Android for homepage, search and browse, product pages, basket, slot selection, checkout, and order tracking
Own component architecture, design tokens, patterns, and documentation for the Maia design system
Provide structured design guidance for AI coding agents to generate accurate, on-brand interfaces
Define interaction patterns for Maia, Rohlik Group’s AI shopping assistant
Govern when Maia intervenes, how it presents information, and how it hands over to human support
Drive hypotheses and rapidly prototype product concepts
Evaluate A/B test results, scale successful experiments, and sunset underperforming features
Conduct qualitative interviews, usability tests, and field research directly with customers
Collaborate with the Product Owner, Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, and peer Product Designer
Provide design input to Commercial, Marketing, and Operations

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience designing consumer-facing digital products
Strong portfolio of shipped work across web and native mobile (iOS and Android)
Advanced, hands-on Figma expertise
Experience building, scaling, and architecting multi-platform design systems at token and component level
Ability to read and rigorously interpret A/B testing data
Practical experience integrating AI tools into design, prototyping, and design system workflows
Clear understanding of where conversational AI adds interface value
Experience designing, running, and analyzing qualitative usability sessions directly with end users
Excellent communication skills in English at C1 level or above
Ability to articulate the strategic and behavioral rationale behind design decisions
