About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as the functional subject-matter expert for the design and evolution of the SAP connector
Support connector implementation for enterprise clients
Map the source and destination of financial and tax data throughout the FI cycle, including MM and SD data
Specify what the connector retrieves from SAP and how tax assessment, credit, and settlement results must be recorded
Define the accounting treatment for new taxes, including accounts, posting keys, and automatic account determination
Design the impact on the payment cycle when tax remittance is separated from supplier payment
Write functional specifications according to ROIT standards
Lead workshops with clients’ finance, accounting, and IT teams
Support configuration, parameterization, and integrated testing
Diagnose discrepancies through root cause and act as the functional escalation point during go-live
Feed field findings into the product roadmap
Collaborate closely with ROIT’s engineering and product teams

Requirements

What you’ll need

Deep expertise in FI and the FI-GL, FI-AP, and FI-AR financial cycles
Experience with the complete accounts payable cycle, including the payment program (F110), payment methods, and bank files
Experience with automatic account determination and MM-FI (OBYC) and SD-FI (VKOA) integration
Experience with financial close and account reconciliation
Understanding of how MM and SD feed data into FI
Proven experience with ECC 6.0 and S/4HANA (on-premise or Private Cloud), including at least two full implementation cycles
Knowledge of the S/4HANA extensibility model
Experience with SAP integration projects involving external systems, including in a functional role
Ability to write executable functional specifications
Ability to read logs and perform functional debugging, without the need to write code
Availability for occasional travel to client sites
