About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify and develop new Workday business opportunities across target accounts and industries
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospective clients and opportunities
  • Conduct market and account research to identify organizations with potential Workday transformation requirements
  • Proactively engage prospective clients through calls, emails, LinkedIn, events and other business development channels
  • Qualify opportunities by understanding client needs, priorities, timelines, stakeholders and potential scope
  • Maintain disciplined follow-up across leads and opportunities to progress them through the sales pipeline
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders across HR, Finance, IT and Procurement functions
  • Support account planning and identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships
  • Position relevant Workday services and support cross-selling across implementation, optimization, enhancements and AMS
  • Develop understanding of Workday solutions, value proposition and partner ecosystem
  • Build relationships with Workday sales and account teams to jointly develop opportunities
  • Coordinate with Workday Account Executives and internal stakeholders on pipeline development and account activities
  • Participate in Workday and industry events to develop relationships and generate opportunities
  • Work with consultants and solution architects to translate client requirements into solution and service offerings
  • Coordinate client meetings, discovery sessions, demonstrations and solution presentations
  • Support RFP/RFI responses, proposals, presentations, commercial discussions and follow-up activities
  • Coordinate internal resources from qualification through proposal and contracting
  • Maintain accurate opportunity, pipeline and forecasting information in CRM and sales tracking tools

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Approximately 2–5+ years of experience in business development, account management, technology sales, enterprise software or consulting services
  • Experience within HR technology, ERP, SaaS or professional services is advantageous
  • Prior Workday experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for candidates with the right commercial mindset and aptitude
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with confidence engaging clients and senior stakeholders
  • Commercially driven with a strong interest in developing new client relationships and opportunities
  • Structured and disciplined in pipeline management and follow-up
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with consulting, presales, delivery and leadership teams
  • Strong presentation and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive and comfortable operating in a fast-growing consulting environment
