About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Anticipate, plan, organize, and direct operations of one or more physician practices
  • Support providers and manage employees to ensure high-quality patient care and services
  • Achieve annual operational and financial goals of the practice
  • Oversee practice leads and employees to ensure efficient operations and standardized workflows
  • Manage day-to-day operations, including staff and provider schedules, performance management, and team communication
  • Troubleshoot and follow up to maintain effective provider, staff, customer, and peer relationships
  • Manage supply ordering, inventory, departmental budgets, invoices, and office bills
  • Coordinate new provider integration and assist with onboarding physicians and APCs
  • Manage revenue cycle processes, registration workflows, work queues, copays, cash drawer, deposits, and coding compliance
  • Analyze practice, financial, and billing data to identify variances and support decisions, reporting, planning, and budgeting
  • Review trends and strategic priorities with practice and medical group leadership
  • Coordinate compliance with Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies
  • Handle personnel functions with HR, including check-ins and evaluations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma (required)
  • 4 years of recent experience in healthcare (required)
  • 2 years of supervisory experience (required)
  • BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association within 90 days of hire (required if performing clinical functions; preferred otherwise)
  • Understanding of the business of health care
  • Ability to proactively manage relationships and expectations of the people served
  • Ability to foster innovative thinking and implement ideas
  • Ability to embrace change and communicate its benefits
  • Ability to achieve critical goals and priority outcomes and measures
  • Ability to provide candid and constructive feedback
  • Ability to car travel to off-site locations occasionally
  • Ability to work in a general office environment and handle periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads
