About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate a multidisciplinary team providing continuity of program services in an ethical, legal, and moral manner within a safe and therapeutic environment
  • Participate in delivering addiction and/or mental health treatment services to clients and families
  • Facilitate recovery issues into clients' daily living situations
  • Work prescribed hours and additional hours deemed necessary
  • Maintain client service records according to rules and regulations
  • Become competent in the EHR and function as a trainer
  • Supervise assigned staff, including orientation, training, supervisory meetings, feedback, evaluations, and disciplinary interventions
  • Maintain communication with admissions and discharge planning staff
  • Assume on-call responsibilities as scheduled or designated
  • Present workshops, lectures, and training to clients, families, staff, and community groups
  • Assist in creating treatment plans and assessments
  • Consult with treatment team members to meet client care needs
  • Develop and maintain community treatment partnerships
  • Provide case management and group coverage when needed
  • Ensure a firm referral is established for each patient, including date and time
  • Act as point person when assigned
  • Represent the department in PI committees and organizational initiatives
  • Complete monthly reports related to state and county contracts
  • Participate in department meetings and activities
  • Maintain confidentiality according to the Code of Conduct and law
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and model positive guest relations
  • Assume other responsibilities assigned by management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or other related field
  • Must qualify as a QMHP as defined by the Illinois Department of Mental Health Rule 132
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Computer proficiency required
  • Ability to navigate and document in electronic healthcare records required
  • Ability to accurately complete required documentation within the time frames
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet Agency insurance requirements
  • Knowledge of psychotropic medications and ability to identify adverse effects of medications
  • Must pass an occupational health screening
  • Must work in a zero-tolerance drug-free environment, including marijuana
