About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide leadership and oversight on large-scale engineering, procurement, and construction projects.
  • Maintain budgets, timelines, and profitability for assigned projects.
  • Oversee all aspects and scopes across large BESS, substation, wind, DG, or utility-scale solar projects.
  • Develop new business opportunities and relationships with current and potential customers with Business Development and the Division Manager.
  • Manage renewable EPC construction scopes including civil, environmental, mechanical, structural, substation, medium- and DC-voltage collections, BESS, and SCADA.
  • Provide strategic leadership for planning, execution, and delivery of multiple EPC projects.
  • Serve as primary liaison among the company, clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
  • Build relationships with clients, partners, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Partner with Business Development leaders on preconstruction deliverables.
  • Oversee project management teams from APM to Senior PM, providing guidance, mentorship, and coaching.
  • Develop project management processes, systems, and tools.
  • Monitor project performance, financial metrics, KPIs, forecasts, and profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with specifications, contracts, regulations, safety standards, and quality requirements.
  • Collaborate with divisional leadership, operations, finance, engineering, environmental, safety, HR, and other departments.
  • Review project constraints, predesign reports, studies, design processes, substation design/procurement/build, utility locations, crossing agreements, civil and structural design, electrical design, SCADA, metering, NERC/FERC requirements, security fencing, and O&M buildings.
  • Coordinate resource allocation and project pipeline management with Area and Site Superintendents.
  • Review initial budgets, buyouts, cost at completion, and other budgetary matters; present regular progress reports and documentation to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business administration or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in project management or a related role, preferably within the EPC industry.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, MS Office Suite).
  • Business development/heavy client interaction a plus
  • Proven experience mentoring and managing others
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others.
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic and challenging work environment.
  • Up to 100% travel.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
