About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Implement PMO standards across the assigned discipline portfolio
- Track, monitor, and update program and project deliverables
- Follow project development and track completion of each stage within established timelines and budgets
- Manage risks according to PMO standards and escalate project risks or problems when needed
- Assign deadlines and follow up with action owners on deliverables
- Support PMO project management strategy, processes, templates, initiatives, tools, and organizational improvements
- Manage timely communication and interactions with key program stakeholders
- Create reports and presentations showing program progress using milestone-tracking dashboards and timelines
- Partner with Finance to coordinate project execution within the overall project budget
- Assist with monthly forecasting and variance explanations
- Monitor committed versus budgeted project costs and escalate budgets at risk
- Support Project Managers with purchase-order tracking, variance explanations, and forecast reviews
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
- Report to the Associate Manager, Program Management
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s or master's degree in Business Management, Industrial Engineering, Project Management or a related field; or a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field with demonstrated project management experience
- One to three years of relevant experience
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with little guidance
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks or initiatives in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented approach with analytical and spreadsheet-modeling skills
- Strong ability to collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret instructions presented in mathematical or diagram form
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project
- English language proficiency and ability to present information clearly and effectively to a team of five or more
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally approximately 10% of the time
