About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the single point of contact for dry-docking planning for the RCG fleet
  • Coordinate long-term docking planning among Global Marine Operations, Brand Deployment, and Newbuilding Revitalizations
  • Develop strategic relationships with global shipyards and maintain five-year dry-dock capacity visibility
  • Lead executive-level engagement with shipyard partners and assess shipyard capabilities
  • Align docking windows with itinerary strategy and secure multi-year docking reservations
  • Optimize docking sequencing and resolve multi-brand docking conflicts
  • Coordinate with Procurement and Supply Chain to leverage fleet-wide docking volume
  • Provide technical due diligence, audits, benchmarking, scorecards, and suitability recommendations for shipyards
  • Standardize and improve dry-docking procedures, specifications, services, materials, and resources
  • Oversee dry-docking compliance, regulatory changes, safety, environmental, and HSE programs
  • Coordinate lifecycle maintenance and revitalization scope boundaries and milestones
  • Lead dry-docking workstreams and stakeholder alignment within Global Marine Operations
  • Monitor timelines and coordinate vessel preparation with Ship Managers, Deployment, and Procurement
  • Manage shipyard selection processes in accordance with RCG policies and governance standards
  • Evaluate docking quality and performance using established measures and predictive analyses
  • Develop statutory compliance policies and provide vessel compliance and regulatory-change information
  • Align dry-dock budgets, review cost models, provide CAPEX forecasts, and govern expenditures
  • Develop business cases and total cost of ownership calculations
  • Analyze docking costs and invoices, identify cost optimization opportunities, and support negotiations and post-docking evaluations
  • Prepare analyses of dry-dock costs and performance durations by vessel class

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or Naval Architecture
  • At least 10 years of experience in Fleet Operations or shipyard environments
  • Project management qualifications required
  • PRINCE2 or PMP certification advantageous
  • Management qualifications in project, operations, or strategy add value
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of dry docking in accordance with industry standards
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing internal docking superintendents or external consultants
  • Direct experience as a project manager for dry-docking operations
  • Strong understanding of class, flag, and regulatory/statutory requirements
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Project, and Visio
  • Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI and MicroStrategy
  • Ability to manage remote teams and achieve defined objectives
  • Familiarity with ISO systems, especially ISO 9001, 14001, and 18001
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to foster diversity within teams
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • Experience with ERP and/or ship management systems is a plus
