About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming word-processing-related requests
- Format, proofread, edit, style, print, and convert/save documents to images or PDF
- Coordinate, assign, distribute, prioritize, track, and expedite departmental workload
- Interface with requesters to gather assignment details and requirements
- Analyze requests and determine how tasks should be performed
- Engage and direct appropriate local, off-site, and departmental resources
- Assist with proofreading and quality-control analysis during heavy-volume periods
- Deliver projects within reasonable, negotiated timeframes
- Maintain thorough knowledge of firm-supported software packages
- Perform related duties and assist with special projects as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be able to commute to Phoenix, AZ
- Strong clerical administrative experience formatting in MS Word
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet pressing deadlines
- Ability to produce quality work product
- Minimum typing speed of 60 wpm with 95% accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility to work overtime as required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of legal experience preferred
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
- Prior document processing experience in a team environment
- Legal terminology knowledge preferred but not required
- Transcription experience is a plus
- Experience or exposure to listed legal software and applications is an added advantage
