About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Establish relationships with the Private Equity ecosystem to build strategic, long-term sales momentum
- Identify and engage Portfolio Operations leads, Operating Partners, and Value Creation directors within targeted funds
- Leverage an existing professional network to access highly gatekept PE environments
- Use PE financial and operational vocabulary to establish credibility with operational leadership
- Navigate complex PE procurement processes to secure Master Service Agreements across portfolio companies
- Position RRD on shortlists for operational inefficiency and cost-takeout initiatives
- Expand RRD’s footprint across targeted portfolio companies through successful initial engagements
- Cross-sell and scale RRD services into additional portfolio assets
- Introduce operational assessments during pre-acquisition due diligence and holding phases
- Use assessments to build pipeline and win execution contracts after acquisitions close
- Deliver results measured by signed MSAs, executed assessment engagements, and sales revenue attributed to PE relationships
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or a related discipline required
- Master’s degree or MBA preferred
- Background as an ex-management consultant from McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Big 4, or a tier-1 operations consulting firm, specifically in Private Equity or Post-Merger Integration practices; or former COO, VP of Sales, or VP of Operations who successfully scaled and exited a PE-backed portfolio company; or proven professional-services sales directly to PE funds
- Must be physically based in a primary PE hub: New York City, Greenwich, CT, Boston, Chicago, San Francisco/Silicon Valley, or Los Angeles; secondary consideration for Austin, Miami, or Atlanta
- Deep understanding of EBITDA, IRR, Multiple Expansion, and 100-Day Plans
- Ability to master RRD’s services portfolio and map solutions to PE financial and operational objectives
- Expertise in low-volume, high-trust Account-Based Selling strategies and complex institutional sales cycles
- Ability to work cross-functionally to deploy specialized delivery teams
