About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Establish relationships within the Private Equity ecosystem to build strategic, long-term sales momentum
  • Identify and build recurring relationships with Portfolio Operations leads, Operating Partners, and Value Creation directors
  • Leverage an existing professional network to access highly gatekept PE environments
  • Use PE-specific financial and operational vocabulary to establish credibility
  • Navigate complex PE procurement processes to secure Master Service Agreements within portfolio companies
  • Position RRD on the shortlist for operational inefficiency or cost takeout initiatives
  • Expand RRD’s footprint across targeted portfolio companies through successful initial engagements
  • Cross-sell and scale RRD services across additional portfolio assets
  • Introduce specialized operational assessments during pre-acquisition due diligence and holding phases
  • Use assessments to build pipeline and position RRD for execution contracts
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deploy specialized delivery teams after fund-level relationships or MSAs are secured
  • Deliver against KPIs including signed MSAs, executed assessment engagements, and recognized sales revenue

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or a related discipline required
  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred
  • Background as an ex-management consultant from McKinsey, Bain, BCG, or a tier-1 operations consulting firm, specifically in Private Equity or Post-Merger Integration practices; or as a former COO, VP of Sales, or VP of Operations who successfully scaled and exited a PE-backed portfolio company; or as a boutique PE-origination specialist with a proven track record selling professional services directly to PE funds
  • Must be physically based in a primary or secondary PE hub: New York City, Greenwich, CT, Boston, Chicago, San Francisco/Silicon Valley, Los Angeles, Austin, Miami, or Atlanta
  • Deep understanding of EBITDA, IRR, Multiple Expansion, and the 100-Day Plan
  • Ability to master RRD’s portfolio of services and map solutions to PE financial and operational objectives
  • Highly skilled in low-volume, high-trust Account-Based Selling strategies and long, complex institutional sales cycles
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to deploy specialized delivery teams
  • Existing professional network providing access to PE environments
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screens
