About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Establish relationships across the Private Equity ecosystem to build strategic, long-term sales momentum
- Identify and engage Portfolio Operations leads, Operating Partners, and Value Creation directors within targeted funds
- Leverage professional networks to access gatekept PE environments and create business conversations
- Navigate PE procurement processes to secure Master Service Agreements within portfolio operating companies
- Position RRD on shortlists for operational inefficiency and cost-takeout initiatives
- Expand RRD’s footprint across multiple portfolio companies through successful initial engagements
- Cross-sell and scale RRD services into additional portfolio assets
- Introduce specialized operational assessments during pre-acquisition due diligence and holding phases
- Use assessments to build pipeline and win full execution contracts after acquisitions close
- Collaborate with RRD delivery teams after fund-level relationships or MSAs are secured
- Achieve signed MSAs, executed assessment engagements, and recognized sales revenue from PE relationships
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or a related discipline required
- Master’s degree or MBA preferred
- Background as an ex-management consultant from MBB, Big 4, or a tier-1 operations consulting firm, specifically Private Equity or Post-Merger Integration practices; or former COO, VP of Sales, or VP of Operations who scaled and exited a PE-backed portfolio company; or boutique PE-origination specialist with a proven track record selling professional services directly to PE funds
- Must be physically based in a primary or secondary PE hub: New York City, Greenwich, Boston, Chicago, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Los Angeles, Austin, Miami, or Atlanta
- Deep understanding of EBITDA, IRR, Multiple Expansion, and the 100-Day Plan
- Ability to master RRD’s portfolio of services and map solutions to PE financial and operational objectives
- Expertise in low-volume, high-trust Account-Based Selling strategies and complex institutional sales cycles
- Ability to work cross-functionally to deploy specialized delivery teams
- Existing professional network providing access to PE environments
