About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive business profitability through management of pricing execution, contract escalation, and margin recovery initiatives
- Partner strategically with Finance, Operations, and Sales
- Optimize account portfolios by correcting negative-margin accounts and enforcing price pass-throughs
- Conduct portfolio reviews to identify, triage, and improve profitability for margin-challenged accounts
- Remediate accounts affected by market inflation and drive operational margin improvements
- Monitor raw material cost trends, supply chain fluctuations, and operational inflation
- Execute price pass-through updates and enforce contract escalation terms, CPI adjustments, and material cost-sharing clauses
- Develop and maintain dynamic pricing models and acceptable margin thresholds
- Manage post-implementation commercial activities rather than pre-sales, deal structuring, or initial pricing strategy
- Translate cost structures into post-production pricing adjustments and recovery plans
- Articulate value propositions during contract renewals and price increase renegotiations
- Maintain and expand analytical models and dashboards
- Build new models to track price realization, pass-through compliance, and margin expansion
- Monitor contract expiration dates and historical price adjustment implementation
- Track account profitability trends and identify high-risk accounts
- Provide weekly/monthly executive summaries on margin recovered, pending price increases, and negative-margin exposures
- Serve as the primary commercial contact for Operations and Finance
- Facilitate reviews with Sales leadership to identify margin recovery opportunities and resolve profitability gaps
- Collaborate with Business Unit leadership on strategic margin improvement initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred
- Minimum 3–5 years of progressive experience in pricing management, commercial operations, business analysis, or sales operations
- Proven understanding of internal company workflows
- Knowledge of manufacturing/packaging cost drivers
- Experience directly supporting or working within a sales environment
- Ability to leverage, expand, and maintain analytical models
- Ability to aggregate data and build actionable reporting dashboards in Excel or Google suite
- Strong understanding of sales workflows, client contracting terms, price elasticity, and customer negotiation dynamics
- Ability to influence sales behavior, hold team members accountable, and drive change across operational and commercial groups
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to present recommendations directly to senior business leadership
- Proactive, creative problem-solving ability
- Ability to translate complex operational cost data into clear commercial action steps
