About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide word processing and document production services for clients
- Perform document production according to established policies and procedures
- Assess job requests, identify the correct production process, and ensure completion throughout the task lifecycle
- Edit, proofread, convert, create, transcribe, and otherwise complete document production requests
- Use document production equipment, technology, software, and hardware
- Coordinate document production services, preparation, intake, and workflow within the team
- Troubleshoot complex software and hardware problems
- Log and track assigned work
- Meet deadlines for accepting, completing, and delivering work
- Communicate with peers, supervisors, and clients regarding jobs or deadline issues
- Foster continuous service enhancement and client relationship building
- Handle sensitive and confidential documents and information
- Perform quality assurance on others’ work
- Train junior staff members
- Assist peer teams with proofreading, design, and document preparation as needed
- Interact with clients in person, by phone, and electronically
- Follow Williams Lea and client-site policies
- Use equipment and supplies cost-efficiently
- Complete additional assignments from management
- Work Wednesday through Friday, 2:30 p.m.–1:00 a.m. ET, and Saturday/Sunday, 3:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m. ET
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Higher level education preferred or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience, preferably in a legal, banking or large corporate environment
- Document production and word processing experience preferred
- Advanced skill in MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong keyboarding and typing skills
- Adept with software programs for editing and/or creating documents
- Knowledge of a legal timekeeping or job tracking system preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment, independently and collaboratively
- Ability to prioritize work, balance projects and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with emphasis on accuracy and quality
- Ability to handle sensitive and/or confidential documents and information
- Ability to make independent decisions conforming to business needs and policy
- Ability to troubleshoot complex or advanced tasks, equipment, or software concerns and escalate when appropriate
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including professional telephone and email etiquette
- Self-motivated with a positive can-do attitude
- Proven customer service skills
- Ability to interact effectively with multifunctional teams and diverse backgrounds
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment background and drug screen
