About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide word processing and document production services for clients
  • Perform document production work according to established policies and procedures
  • Assess job requests, identify the correct production process, and ensure completion throughout the task lifecycle
  • Edit, proofread, convert, create, transcribe, or otherwise complete document production requests
  • Use required equipment, technology, software, and hardware
  • Assist with coordination of document production services, preparation, intake, and team workflow
  • Troubleshoot complex software or hardware problems
  • Log and track all assigned work
  • Meet deadlines for accepting, completing, and delivering work
  • Communicate with peers, supervisors, and clients regarding jobs or deadline issues
  • Foster continuous service enhancement and client relationship building
  • Handle sensitive and confidential documents and information
  • Perform quality assurance on others’ work
  • Train junior staff members
  • Assist peer teams with proofreading, design, and document production as needed
  • Interact with clients in person, by phone, or electronically
  • Follow Williams Lea and client site policies
  • Use equipment and supplies cost-efficiently
  • Work Wednesday–Sunday, 2:00–11:00 p.m. CT

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Higher level education preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience, preferably in a legal, banking, or large corporate environment
  • Document production and word processing experience preferred
  • Advanced skill in MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong keyboarding and typing skills
  • Adept with software programs for editing and/or creating documents
  • Knowledge of a legal timekeeping or job tracking system preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to prioritize work, balance projects, and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with emphasis on accuracy and quality
  • Ability to handle sensitive and/or confidential documents and information
  • Ability to make independent decisions conforming to business needs and policy
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex or advanced tasks, equipment, or software concerns and escalate appropriately
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including professional telephone and email etiquette
  • Self-motivated with a positive can-do attitude
  • Proven customer service skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with multifunctional and diverse backgrounds
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment background and drug screens
