About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own Runway's offices, including their locations, construction, operating costs, and workplace experience
  • Handle daily office operations including cleaning, repairs, food, supplies, access control, and health and safety
  • Own workplace budgets and reporting, including rent, capital expenditure, and operating spend
  • Run onsite programming such as all-hands, offsites, team events, screenings, and partner and press visits
  • Determine space requirements and timing in each city with People and Finance based on hiring forecasts
  • Take new offices from shortlist through signed lease with brokers, Legal, and Finance
  • Manage design, construction, and furniture projects through move-in
  • Coordinate with IT and Security on network, AV, and physical access for office openings
  • Establish local vendors, services, and compliance in new markets
  • Travel occasionally to other Runway offices for openings or large onsite events
  • Define workplace standards and assess offices from employee and visitor perspectives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Open to candidates based near the NYC office or willing to relocate
  • 7+ years in corporate real estate, facilities, or workplace operations
  • Deep project management experience across construction schedules, permitting, and short-notice logistics
  • Hands-on lease and vendor contract experience
  • Experience personally signing off on a budget
  • Cross-functional experience with Finance, People, IT, and Security teams
  • At least one office taken from first site visit through opening day
  • Comfort writing process documents, service standards, and vendor scorecards
  • Accountability for offices not visited every day
  • International real estate, employment, or compliance experience is a plus
