About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Administer HR policies and programs for assigned sites
  • Train and communicate with employees
  • Balance administrative tasks and strategic initiatives
  • Develop collaborative working relationships with business partners and field leaders
  • Work closely with sites and the HR team to ensure an open-door climate and excellent customer service
  • Manage employee relations matters and conduct workplace investigations, including conflict resolution, policy interpretation, fact-finding, documentation, and corrective-action recommendations
  • Execute HR policies and strategic initiatives within the supported line of business
  • Assist managers and employees with day-to-day HR activities and compliance
  • Inform senior management and operations of internal and external HR developments
  • Develop and implement engagement, HR policy, procedure, or information programs
  • Compile reports for upper management
  • Ensure the HR office complies with corporate policies and directives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 3-5 years of HR experience in a sales, transportation, or equivalent environment
  • Experience in employee relations, policy and procedure administration, recruiting and staffing, HRIS and time-keeping systems
  • Experience with Microsoft O365
  • Monthly travel to business sites—up to 25-30% of the time
  • Ability to provide management with proactive ideas on creating and maintaining a positive employee relations climate
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
