About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist the project team in completing designated projects while learning Ryan processes, procedures and business policies.
  • Generate Requests For Information (RFIs) and track approvals.
  • Monitor and maintain shop drawing logs and coordinate shop drawings.
  • Learn project dimensional control requirements and field verify dimensions to back check shop drawing approvals.
  • Coordinate and track vendor and subcontractor deliveries.
  • Learn and follow Ryan Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Gain understanding of overall site logistics.
  • Participate in the city and jurisdictional permit inspection process.
  • Keep office and jobsite plans updated with RFIs and ASIs.
  • Accompany Ryan personnel and the Owner on punch list inspections, record punch list items, and monitor completion.
  • Participate in preparing and updating the project schedule.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering/Management or related field.
  • 1+ year of experience in commercial construction.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to execute projects.
  • General knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control and material pricing.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, purchase orders, contracts, and cost coding systems.
  • Experience in Construction Management Software (i.e. Procore).
  • Design-build commercial construction experience.
  • Position requires verification of employment to work in the U.S.
