About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the planning, development, and implementation of Ryan’s quality program for data centers
  • Manage and perform daily QC responsibilities for assigned projects
  • Ensure projects are constructed in accordance with established contract documents
  • Lead and train project team members on quality-related activities
  • Oversee and review documentation and physical inspection workflow phases
  • Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, clients, design teams, and other stakeholders
  • Review shop drawings and submittals for conformance with project specifications
  • Participate in preparatory and pre-installation meetings
  • Establish quality management expectations for inspections, testing, and documentation
  • Verify and document material conformance, handling, storage, and installation
  • Conduct, assign, monitor, track, log, and audit quality control activities
  • Support corrective actions for non-conformances and quality issues
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement solutions
  • Conduct and document weekly QC meetings and distribute minutes
  • Conduct periodic quality walkthroughs with clients and design teams
  • Provide weekly QC reports
  • Support punch list and phase turnover activities
  • Stop work when necessary to resolve safety, quality, or workflow issues
  • Capture and share lessons learned
  • Travel as needed when not local to the project site

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 5 years of successful field quality management experience in mission critical construction or large construction projects
  • Technical degree in construction, civil, architecture, engineering, or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of experience in design, construction, and/or commissioning for large and complex MEP-heavy projects
  • Previous experience leading construction documentation and contract administration
  • Knowledge of one or more quality systems, such as Malcolm Baldridge, ISO 9000, Lean, Kaizen, or Army Corps of Engineers
  • Experience using Procore, Bluebeam, and Revit
  • Employment verification to work in the U.S. is required
